Restart the iPad:  Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears on the screen and then drag the slider. The press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Force an app to close:  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears and then hold down the Home button until the app closes. If this does not work, you may need to reset the iPad.

Do a Hard Reset: If that doesn’t work, you can reset the iPad. Press the Sleep/Wake button and then Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Once the Apple logo disappears, you can then press the Sleep/Wake button and turn the iPad back on.
