Setting Audio for Case CATalyst in Windows XP

  1. Left click on Start , then Control Panel.

  2. Left click on Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices.

  3. Under or pick a Control Panel icon, left click on Sounds and Audio Devices.

  4. The Sounds and Audio Devices Properties box will appear.  Click the Audio tab at the top. 

  5. In the middle of the box will be the Sound Recording section.  Click the Volume button.

  6. The Recording Control box will appear.  Under the Mic Volume section, move the slider to the top and put a check next to Select.

  7. Click the Advanced button.  The Advanced Controls for Mic Volume box appears. 

    • If your microphone does not use a battery place a check next to 1 Microphone Boost.
    • If your microphone does use a battery uncheck 1 Microphone Boost.

  8. Close the Recording Controls box, then press OK to close the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties box.
